Chapter 352 The Necoris
Each of them wielded a saber, and their attacks were ruthless against the humans.
The three normal humans were trying desperately to hang on to their lives, but their situation was grim as one of them had a deep gash on his waist, blood gushing out continuously.
"Why are you struggling? You\'re just mere slaves. Just surrender, and we won\'t make it hard for you," one of the strange men taunted, his face riddled with scorn.
"We will never surrender..." a human responded defiantly. "Instead of surrendering to varmints like you, we would rather die."
"Haha... Do you still think you have the luxury to kill yourself? You\'re naive."
When the three humans heard this, they frowned, and it was then that they noticed their bodies were weakening.
They had been poisoned.
"Have you noticed that we\'re not trying to defeat you? We\'re only waiting for the poison to take effect and capture you with ease. Who knows how many coins you will make for us," one of the strange men taunted. Enjoy more content from empire
"N-Nooo," the only lady among the group screamed in panic.
She knew how savage the Necoris were, and if she were to fall into their hands, her fate would be worse than dying.
Likewise, the expressions of the two men were far from anything good. Their faces contorted into panic, and their hands trembled.
They looked at each other and saw the grim expressions on each other\'s faces. What should they do? They couldn\'t allow the Necoris to capture them.
"Young Miss, we will hold them back. Please escape and tell the others about the Necoris," one of the men said with a resolute expression.
"Haha. Idiot, where can she escape to? Don\'t you see the rising molten lava? Do you expect her to swim through the molten lava?" one of the Necoris said with ridicule.
Now, they were not in a rush to attack their prey, since they had poisoned them. It was only a matter of time before they fell into their palms.
"Ah!"
They exclaimed and turned to look at their surroundings only to see the rising molten lava. The goddamn Necoris were right.
The molten lava was rising at a breathtaking speed, and it was only a matter of time before it covered their mountain.
"What should we do?" the Young Miss asked in a panic. Her head was already getting fuzzy, and it was getting hard to keep her eyes open.
"We only have one option left."
The three looked at each other and saw the unwillingness on each other\'s faces but knew this was their only choice.
They nodded, and their expressions became grim. They looked at the boiling molten lava as they prepared to jump into it.
"Ha! I knew it. They are going to jump into the molten lava. I won the bet!" one of the Necoris uttered in excitement.
The Necoris looked at each other, and some of them sighed. "Humans are cowards. Can\'t they just fight back for once?"
"See you in the afterlife," a man said, looking at the Young Miss.
"I\'m sorry..." the Young Miss said, her voice laced with guilt.
If she had not insisted on hunting in the Boiling Desert, they wouldn\'t have fallen into the hands of these despicable Necoris.
Suddenly, one of the Necoris squinted his gaze, turned his head, and looked in a particular direction.
A short distance from them, a group of humans was rushing toward them, jumping from one mountain to another.
"Are those humans?" he said out loud.
His comrades immediately turned their heads and saw the humans approaching them. Even though they were shocked by the sudden arrival of the humans, their expressions turned to evil grins.
"Haha. Who would have expected more prey to fall into our hands?" their leader said out loud.
When the three humans heard the Necoris, they turned their heads only to see more humans coming their way.
"No. We can\'t allow them to join in our misfortune," the Young Miss cried in panic. "Let me warn them."
Quickly, the three began to scream, warning the group of humans to escape with their greatest speed. But to their greatest dismay, the group ignored their warning.
Are they stupid or what?
Perhaps, they did not understand what we were saying.
Even the Necoris were surprised by the courage of the new arrivals. Their slitted eyes bore deeply into the new humans as if trying to find out where they got their courage.
At the lead was a young man with an average look; the only spectacular thing about him was his plain white silk robe. Apart from that, he was quite ordinary.
Behind him was an old man walking with a cane and a group of guards in strange armor.
This was the first time they saw such strange, sophisticated armor. Mere looking at it was intimidating, and the Necoris couldn\'t help but change their expressions.
The group landed a couple of feet from the Necoris, staring at them like rare specimens.
"Why did you come? Why didn\'t you heed our warning? Now, we\'re all going to die," the Young Miss managed to say before she fell to the ground, losing consciousness.
"No one is going to die as long as you surrender to us. We won\'t kill you," a Necoris said with an evil grin.
Who would have expected their luck to be so good?
Just when they thought their hunt would only yield three prey, more humans sent themselves as a gift.
The new group looked at the Necoris and the three humans who were on the brink of losing consciousness with looks of confusion on their faces.
Su Yen stared at the strange humans and the weak humans and realized what was going on. Still, he decided to ask what was happening.
"Who are you?"Nôv(el)B\\\\jnn
What!
Both the Necoris and the weak humans were stunned for a couple of seconds before one of the Necoris asked,
"Are you not from here?"
Su Yen nodded, waiting for his explanation.
Thud!
The two weak humans finally succumbed to the poison, slumped to the ground, and lost consciousness.
"Since you\'re not from here, you\'re going to fetch us a lot of coins in the slave market. Men, capture them," the Necoris leader shouted in excitement.
However, what happened next was beyond their wildest imagination.
Whoosh!
Three soldiers moved at a breathtaking speed, disappearing from their spot and appearing before the savage Necoris.
